"A positive experience "

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

I gave birth to my first child at QMC and spent 2 nights in their maternity unit post birth.

All staff from beginning to end of my experience were wonderful. I was offered so much support and kindness throughout the birth and after.

During the birth I felt I was in good hands. The midwives were knowledgable, fast acting and made me feel so empowered. They encouraged me to listen to my body whilst ensuring myself and baby were safe.

Post birth I was given so much personal support for myself and my baby. The staff were sensitive and encouraging with supporting me in my recovery and with establishing breastfeeding.

I was given lots of information from the nurses and midwives giving me a good foundation with feeding and caring for my baby.

Overall my birth experience was very positive and I’m happy it was at QMC.
