"Fantastic care for nervous teenager"

(as a service user),

On Thursday I attended the paediatric outpatient clinic at Houldsworth in Wishaw. I think the Drs name was Dr Jordan. My 15 year old son had his first appointment and it was I guess an embarrassing and difficult subject for a 15 year old boy to discuss. 

Dr Jordan took time to listen to both myself and my son. When he saw my son upset he used examples from his own life surrounding these difficult subjects to help put him at ease. He didn’t dismiss any of his symptoms- physical or mental. I feel confident that my son is in good hands and we both felt listened to and understood. Thank you

I am so pleased that Dr Jordan has used his own experiences and empathy to put your son at ease during a difficult and potentially embarrassing time. I am also glad that he was able to support both you and your son during the appointment and that you feel comfortable and confident going forward in your sons treatment.

I am so pleased that your son had such a good experience with Dr Jordan at his appointment in the Houldsworth Centre. It sounds like what could have been a difficult situation for your son was made much easier.

I will share this feedback with Dr Jordan which I know he will be delighted to hear. It is really important to receive comments like this.
