"Excellent follow up"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

Following a six day stay at ES Hospital, I was discharged to a recently formed Virtual Ward - i.e. I was still under the care of the hospital but for the first three days had a visit from a nurse (Dave and then Ed, both very reassuring) who took my obs and on the third day, took blood to be analysed.

Fortunately the readings were all ok and within another 4 days I was fully discharged.  I just want to thank both the medical staff on Holmwood ward, who work under very difficult circumstances, and the excellent follow up service which hopefully released a bed for someone in in greater need.

I hope the Hospital at Home service continues to grow.

Thank you very much for your feedback.

The virtual wards are a new service, integrating two different organisations' teams to deliver care at home.

I am so pleased you found it useful, and I have fed this back to the team who were delighted.

Take care

Ben
