Only getting round to leaving feedback now. But myself and my partner went to Daisy Hill Hospital for induction some weeks ago and wow the level of care from all of the staff was out of this world. I have given birth previously in Craigavon hospital and the Royal Victoria hospital but nothing compares to the treatment not only myself but my partner received.
Aine the midwife who was looking after me was absolutely fantastic, she always made sure I was doing ok offered pain relief quite a few times but I was handling it pretty well. She went above and beyond for us even brought myself and my partner a wee chocolate because we were laughing and joking about saying how we never got out for dinner😊 She kept me so calm during the induction process and every time she had seen me I was up walking about and kept encouraging me to keep moving.
The level of care I had got from the night staff and the doctor that gave me a sweep was fantastic too and as soon as my contractions had started the gas and air was given straight away and with very quick dash to the delivery suite the midwives that delivered my baby need a award for having to listen to me for them 2 hours 🤣 The encouragement from both of the ladies really kept me motivated but they also went above and beyond for my care made sure I was comfortable and even got me into a better position for delivering my baby.
If you do get the opportunity to give birth at Daisy Hill please snap that chance up it was definitely the best experience I could of asked for.
Thanks again
