"Training placement at District Nurses at Ashfield"

About: Community Nursing Services / Ashfield Community Nursing

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

The overall practise experience was amazing. This placement was very insightful to the community nursing role and has a massive amount of opportunities to gain new skills, knowledge and attitudes.

The district nurses were very welcoming and supportive, helping to fulfil training and requirements needed promptly. Their conduct was very professional and all in the team were very willing and helpful, letting me participate in most nursing interventions.

I was able to gain great insight into the delivery of care available by the community nursing team. I have a greater knowledge of health promotion, wound care and the general running of community care.

I would have liked more time in this placement.

Thankyou very much for your encouraging feedback. I am pleased that the Team were so welcoming an supportive, Nursing is still a very good profession to go into despite all of the negativity surronding the NHS. Community Nursing is going through a whole integration to support Primary Care and it is very exciting times.
