"My mother in law was very impressed by you all"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

We had to bring my mother in law to the ED on Christmas day following a serious dog bite.

The staff who looked after her were incredible, going above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and had a proper plan in place. The event itself was incredibly distressing but the care we received really helped and my mother in law has made an amazing recovery with no infection.

Thank you to Rob for calling the plastics team and being so kind, to Ricky for managing the wound so well and to the wonderful HCA and consultant whose names escape me. My mother in law was very impressed by you all and thinks you are all fabulous.

I hope that you managed to enjoy the Christmas period after your shifts and we wish you the best for the new year.

Dear Helnz98,

Thank you so much for providing us the feedback above. I am sorry to hear of the accident your Mother in law had over the festive period.

I will ensure that the staff members you have named get to see your feedback and share it with the wider ED team.

Thank you again for the wonderful feedback and I hope your mother in law is recovering well.

Kind regards

Sophie Hutchings
