"They quietly reassured me"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

I fell in the Main Street in Alva on Christmas Eve 2024

As a retired A/E nurse I knew immediately that I had sustained a serious injury to my upper arm I called 999 for an ambulance and I only had 30minutes to wait.

The crew Greg and Stevie (who were not know to me ) were simply amazing they quietly reassured me whilst taking my history they explained exactly what they were going to  do make my transfer to hospital easier.

Their care of me and my daughter in law who was with me was absolutely exemplary I will never forget their kindness and professionalism.

Dear Dollargirl,

Many thanks for taking the time to share your feedback here on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read about what happened to you and I do hope that you are feeling better. It is great to hear positive stories about the work our wonderful staff provide.

If you wish I can pass on the feedback to the crews directly. To do so we would need to know the date, time and address that the Ambulance attended and your name. This information can be sent to sas.feedback@nhs.scot for the team to pick up. If you do decide to do this, would you be so kind as to make reference to your CareOpinion username so that the team can easily locate your story and share it with the crew.

I wish you all the very best and thanks again.

Kind Regards

Marie,

Patient Experience Manager
