"Grateful to all the staff for helping my recovery"

About: Great Oaks Inpatient Unit / Mulberry Ward

(as a service user),

I was unhappy and depressed and turned to alcohol for a release and the my behaviour turned erratic. Following this I was sectioned on Mulberry Ward, Great Oaks Hospital on section 3.

I was on the ward for almost 7 weeks and underwent physiology and psychiatry from the available resources and staff. I was treated fairly and am grateful to all the staff for helping my recovery.

What could be improved:

Having a tv in the bedrooms,

Been able to have more occupational therapy.

Hi, many thanks for feeding your experience back to us as this is very important. We are currently trying to recruit an occupational Therapist for the ward so hopefully moving forward this gap will be covered. Good luck for the future

Kind regards

Martin (Matron)
