"Excellent care in ED Ayr Hospital"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

My daughter was told to present to Ayr Hospital Accident and Emergency Dept, as she has been in a RTA the previous day, and although paramedics attended, they did not take her to get checked out. The care and compassion shown by the Doctor, nurses and clinical support workers and the porter was very much appreciated. Special thanks to the consultant Allan, who took the time to give my daughter a proper diagnosis through carrying out X-rays and CT scan. This was all dealt with in a timeous manner and he kept us informed at every opportunity. I feel it is really important that the staff know how important their friendly and approachable demeanour was very much appreciated. It made a very frightening experience more bearable for my daughter, whereby she felt absolutely safe and cared for.

Once again thank you to Ayr ED team for delivering such lovely care to my daughter.

Dear squatfr66

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to share this lovely feedback about the care provided by the staff within the Emergency Department, University Hospital Ayr

I am sorry to hear that your daughter needed to attend the hospital following an RTA, but glad to know that she received such prompt, professional and compassionate care from our all of our staff there.

When times are challenging, it’s always nice to hear such positive feedback from our patients and their relatives and it will be my pleasure to share your feedback with the wider Team in the Department and in particular with Dr (Alan) Krichell. I know they will all be delighted to receive this feedback and to know that your daughter felt so well supported whilst she was under their care

I do hope your daughter is feeling better now and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge her care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela

Hi

I appreciate your response, the consultant was Dr Burt and not whom you said and I would appreciate that my thanks could be extended to him.
