"O.T. success"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Occupational Therapy

(as a service user),

I had a really bad swelling in the joints of 2 fingers of my R hand. It was so painful I actually asked to have them amputated.

I was referred to O T and was seen by Tray.

This lady was amazing. She showed me exercises, gave me equipment to use but mostly gave me the reassurance and kindness that made a huge difference.

I now have movement in these fingers and my pain levels have greatly reduced.

She is a great asset to RCHT.

Thank you Tray...you gave me back so much.

Dear Sallyannie

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your experience of using the Rheumatology Occupational Therapy service at RCH. I am very glad to hear that Tray was so kind and helpful and that your fingers are now so much better - that's great to hear.

I am the Governance Lead for Therapies and I have passed your kind words onto Tray and her managers. I know Tray will be delighted to read your compliment. It makes such a difference to staff to receive positive feedback.

Many thanks again and I wish you continued improvement with your fingers.

Best wishes

Becky Osborne
