The doctors sent Becky to see me and look at all the equipment I had got.
She showed me how to use it and came back to check I was using it properly. Becky went through some exercises for my legs. We started off with just a few of each exercise and I was practising them every day for 35 minutes at home with my son or daughter.
We gradually got through them and worked my way up doing 10 of each. Once a week Becky called to see how I was getting on. Then she decided to add some sitting down arm movement where I had to keep my arms straight and work my shoulders. I used "swimming strokes" to practise these.
I got a lot of confidence from becky, she was such a jovial person and we had a lot of fun! Especially when she took me out to test my last item from the Red Cross which was a "trike" a three wheeled walker and we walked down the road and back. My son followed us and he could see how I gained a lot of confidence from Becky. When we got home she informed me that it was her last visit and she was signing me off.
This is my story of how lovely Becky was, I was more than satisfied with what Becky did or suggested when looking at me getting in and out of the shower and off and on the bed and I am still doing my exercises every day!
Thank you Becky
"She was such a jovial person"
