"I know he is in safe hands"

About: Health & Community Care Services / Dementia Support

(as a relative),

My husband first met his support worker when Avril visited us at home to introduce herself. Then the weekly visits started.

Avril gives my husband the choice of whether he wants to stay in house or go for a run in the car.

Usually, they go a run, call in for coffee + cake - (Just my husband has the cake :-) )

1 day my husband had a sore throat so they stayed in. Avril was well prepared + had Jigsaws. Picture cards + Holiday album which my husband took part in + enjoyed.

I (and my husband) look forward to Avril's weekly visits :-) I know he is in safe hands and I can go visit my friends. Avril is a star.

Afternoon mikehw47,

Firstly, thank you kindly for posting your lovely comments with regards to Avril's involvement, the Dementia Support Service do their upmost to ensure everyone has a good experience when accessing the service. I will ensure that Avril receives your compliments.

We appreciate & understand how difficult it can be for carers when they leave their loved one in our care, to hear you know your husband is in safe hands means alot,

Thanks again!
