"Crew were very caring, sympathetic and instilled confidence"

(as the patient),

Steve and Joel who came in response to our call were absolutely wonderful. They took my wife and I from our home to the Cheltenham Hospital after I had cardiac problems.

They were very caring, sympathetic and instilled confidence. They kept us informed of everything they were doing and what was happening all the way to the hospital and even when we got to the A&E department.

A tip we learned, can’t remember from where, was to have our car warning lights flashing so that the ambulance driver could more easily identify our house. This could save precious time particularly in rural areas such as ours.

Dear Heaped877

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope you are making a speedy recovery. I like that tip! It is not one I have heard before, but it would certainly aid our crews to spot houses quickly. I will mention it to our PR and Communications team.

It is always rewarding to hear that our crews are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients when they need us.

I would like to pass your thanks onto Steve and Joel. In order to do this I will need to know the date, time and adddress that the ambulance attended. Please could you contact me, at your convenience, at laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk?

Thank you again for providing feedback, and sharing your excellent tip!

Laura
