"Nursing staff were fabulous"

About: Vale of Leven General Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as a parent/guardian),

I couldn’t get parked to get my teenage son in to the minor injury unit. He couldn’t walk due to an ankle injury but thankfully Rachel a kind HCSW spotted us and helped us get a wheelchair.

The minor injury unit nursing staff were fabulous as usual, quick and efficient despite being short staffed and made sure my son was assessed and treated appropriately.

Hopefully we won’t need to be back too soon, but I know the service will be spot on for any future footballing injuries. Thanks again

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry to hear about the difficulty you had with parking—this is something we know can be frustrating, especially in urgent situations, and we continue to work on improving access wherever possible.

We're incredibly proud of Rachel, our Health Care Support Worker, for spotting you and stepping in to help so compassionately. It's heartening to know her actions made a difference at a stressful moment. We'll make sure your kind words are passed on to her and the rest of the team at the Minor Injuries Unit.

Despite staffing pressures, our staff remain committed to providing safe, timely, and compassionate care, and it's wonderful to hear your son was treated efficiently and appropriately.

We hope he's well on the road to recovery. Thank you again for your lovely message. It really does mean a lot to all the staff.
