"Made a nerve wracking experience more comfortable"

I attended for a maternity scan at Hairmyres Hospital recently and wanted to leave a message of thanks for my Sonographer, Cathy.

Attending for a maternity scan is a lovely, but nerve wracking experience. I felt very quickly put at ease by Cathy’s kind nature, and her explanation of how things would work. She compassionately advised me not to panic if she was quiet for a moment, that this is normal. 

I could tell that Cathy had reflected on how this experience must feel for maternity patients, and how best she could adjust her communication skills to ensure a better experience for her patients.
