The efficient, professional and friendly care I received at this unit, rivals treatment at a private hospital.
I attended UTC after several recent very unpleasant and lengthy waits at another A&E. From the time I approached reception, Carol made me feel important and validated. What a superstar she is.
The waiting room was clean and due to the unprecedented heat, there was a huge fan circulating air.
I waited less than 5 minutes for triage and then within 15 minutes I was seen by Dr Lezizi, who was caring and actually listened to me.
X-ray department was just as good, where a lovely gentleman (I think his name was Adajaba) xrayed my foot whilst making polite conversation.
I went back to the waiting area and again in less than 15minutes Dr Lezizi called me in, confirming a fracture. I had a moon boot fitted and was discharged with a prescription. All in less than 2 hours and with absolutely no stress.
The staff were all equally friendly and a gentleman next to me who also had a suspected fracture, was pushed to X-ray by the doctor! Unheard of!!
I cannot applaud this group of healthcare professionals highly enough. Thank you for making a really rubbish day end with pleasant memories.
