"Uti infection and seen at home"

About: Urgent Community Response / Virtual Ward Service

(as a service user),

Wasnt feeling ok with diarrhoea and vomiting due to UTI, which I wasn't aware of, and went to hospital. Doctor said I was dehydrated, and got UTI and would need more fluids and blood tests to check if everything was OK including how my kidneys were functioning. Nurse came home. Did assessments and took some bloods and gave a word that I will get response which I did. Am glad my bloods were ok snd nothing is wrong with my kidneys.

Keep up the good work community team with this initiative as this minimises high risk and tackle any problem at its ealiest stages. This as well minimises pressure in hospital wards.

Thank you

Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your experience. It’s great to hear that the support from the community team made a real difference — especially during a time when you weren’t feeling well.

We’re really glad everything turned out okay with your blood tests and kidney function. It’s exactly what the Virtual Ward aims to do: catch things early, provide care at home, and help reduce the need for hospital stays.

Your feedback is really appreciated and will definitely be shared with the team. It’s lovely to hear that the initiative is working as intended.
