"The report was inaccurate and the appointment unnecessary"

About: Lauriston Building / Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Speech and Language Therapy

(as the patient),

I had an appointment at Laurieston Building ENT Edinburgh with a Physician Associate.

Due to a departmental hold up I was not seen until 5pm when everyone was leaving. I felt the associate was rushed and no doctor was available to see me or give advice on possible treatment. I was asked if I would attend the SLT department at Edinburgh Royal.

The Speech and Language therapist there was extremely helpful.

The report she had received was inaccurate therefore my appointment was unnecessary but she went over the problem I was having and gave me good advice and information.

After all that, I now have to accept that there is no real cure, perhaps due to my age?

Dear Moda I am sorry that you did not have a good experience when attending the Lauriston Building recently for an ENT appointment. It is disappointing to read that you were made to wait until late afternoon to be seen then sent to the ERI with wrong information I can only apologise. I note though that the member of staff at the ERI took time to explain and gave you good advice. That said your over all experience was a poor one and I apologise. If you think we can help in any way please get back in touch with the department. Once again my apologies..
