"And the food, what can I say, it was unreal"

About: Cloughreagh House

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I came to Cloughreagh House a few weeks ago after a fall and I can't believe the way I was treated here. Everyone was decent and respectful from the manager to the cleaners and I was treated with much dignity. The room was beautiful and the toilet was beside me and it was very handy.

And the food, what can I say- turkey, roast beef, chicken, fish, it was unreal.  The potatoes were great - balls of flour and I enjoyed every bit of it. I have been the same weight for years but I put on 1lb in Cloughreagh.
I even met an old friend here that I knew well, I hadn't seen him for years, we had great chat together.
I didn't get any information about Cloughreagh before I came here, I didn't know anything about it but I'll now be recommending it to my friends and I would encourage them to come if they get the opportunity. I know I would be happy to come back if I need it again.
I have completed an exercise program with the physios and I am making good progress. I got great attention from them and I think that has all helped me improve.
Overall I just want to say Cloughreagh is unbelievable.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story on Care Opinion. I am delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience and that it has exceeded your expectations. I am however disappointed to hear that you were not provided with information about the Service in Cloughreagh House. An information Leaflet has been developed and has been shared with the relevant professionals,

Your feedback is very helpful, I will discuss this with my Line Manager and the Intermediate Care staff to establish how the information leaflet can be made more readily available for future or potential Service Users.

On behalf of the team in Cloughreagh House I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for posting your feedback on the service. This is essential to our service and enables us to measure the effectiveness of the service and to make improvements when needed..

Kind Regards

Kate Mc Beth
