"Every single contact I tried making with them was ignored"

About: Adult mental health / CMHT South West Adult mental health / York Access and Crisis

(as a service user),

I literally struggle to put in words how I have been treated by certain mental health team staff members. Following on from my previous feedback, firstly I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD by a psychiatrist, then I have been refused any therapy or treatment for this apart from a short course on managing your emotions (anybody that suffers from Complex PTSD would know that this isn't suitable treatment for this condition).

When I have met with my care coordinator they have refused to even acknowledge my Complex PTSD instead it is ignored. Even though they know how bad my Complex PTSD is.

I have called the crisis team and I've had staff members say that I should just delete the bad memories from my head and then I'd be fine. I've had the crisis team in A&E refuse to come and see me as they didn't know me... obviously they don't know me that's the whole point! I've called the crisis team again recently and they said that they don't really know what I want them to do, and they tell me to just go and have something to eat.

I have now just been discharged from my CMHT as I said I couldn't attend an appointment, they know the reason why I couldn't attend as I had no way of getting there, and I was going to ask if I could make it a phone appointment instead. There are no reasonable adjustments when patients can't attend appointments.

I emailed several times at beginning of the week (before I was discharged) as I was in crisis and I couldn't call crisis team as it was before 6pm and every single contact I tried making with them was ignored.

The services I've received have been a disaster, this needs sorting!
