It was my first time having a cesarean delivery, I had a doula with me during the surgery but she left after the baby was born, so I was on my own. Couldn't move in bed for couple hours then later was transferred from the recovery room to the ward where there were 4 of us, everyone else had their partner with them, so I was the only one pressing the call button for assistance most time but it felt like the midwives didn't want to be bothered.
It was really hurting π π’ to see that the vulnerable were not being taken care of. One of the midwives actually told me that she's not supposed to help change the baby, my baby was crying and needed a change of nappy in the night and I couldn't do it myself that night, I was very surprised. When I needed help, no one seemed to want to attend to me, they keep referring me to someone else or came in their own convenient time. The meals were rubbish, couldn't eat for the 2 nights I was there, and some staff were rude and disrespectful .
For me I don't think I would advise anyone to have a baby there especially if you don't have anyone to back you up from the rude staff. The surgeons were great though.
