"Helped me be me again and feeling well"

I came into the service in a bit of state after a long binge of alcohol and opioids after suffering a major grievance. The staff here were very welcoming, accommodating and caring. Initially I was nervous about the care I was to receive, but that soon quickly dissipated.

I admittedly struggled the first night but staff reassured me and I was given the appropriate medication for my detox. I made some friends for the short duration I was here and overall I had a very positive experience during my time at the service. I enjoyed the groups and activities that were provided in which I felt relaxed and were educational. The food was good, and my appetite soon quickly retuned. The staff always said to me that if I felt unwell or uncomfortable in any way that I should inform them and I was well taken care of.

My only slight complaint was that we were not allowed to vape in our rooms or smoke on the premises which I found difficult at first, but in the long run this had a positive impact on my health; aside from the fact that I was there to get well as my main priority. I was sad to go, but this experience helped me move forward to the next new chapter in my life and I am very grateful for the opportunity. Ultimately, I have no complaints and I would like to thank and express my gratitude to all the staff for helping me be me again and feeling well. Thank you.
