"The experience was lovely"

I recently had an appointment in Belfast City Hospital for an x-ray of my pelvis and knees. I arrived early for my appointment prepared to wait god knows how long to be taken almost immediately. I was greeted by a guy named Karoush with a big smile. 

He took me to a private changing room and explained everything which was happening then proceeded to leave me to get changed. Then in the room he again explained the images he was taking and showed what was expected for some of them which was brilliant. I didn't feel rushed, I didn't feel like I was a number or a nuance. 

The experience was lovely. I never thought I'd ever say this about a hospital appointment. I felt seen and validated by Karoush. He took his time with me and didn't rush me. He had me in and out before the original appointment time, it was brilliant, even wished me a lovely day.

His smile really did make a difference and many staff should take a page from his book.
