"Excellent care"

About: Southend Hospital / Accident and emergency Southend Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I recently had to use this hospital and I would love to make known of the excellence of care and attention I received.

From entering the hospital via the 999 Ambulance people till I was discharged. The triage team were kind and caring as were the porters. I had scans, x-rays and ecg tests. Within 6 hours I was on Estuary ward. The two nurses there were so attentive and listening to their whispered singing was lovely.

I was then moved up to Southbourne ward. Again, the staff were a credit to their profession. Special mention to Sam (Estuary) Mandy, Melissa and Alex (Southbourne).

All the nurses, Dr:s and physio team asked how I was and you could tell they were genuinely asking.

The food service staff were helpful in what food was available and was hot, tasty and well presented.

Cleaning staff were good and very studious in their tasks.

I cannot find a single reason to complain about any aspect of this hospital and I would like to place on record my gratitude to them.

Please pass on my compliments to all your staff and if this is a broken NHS I saw absolutely no sign of this.
