"An ultrasound scan on my foot."

I had an appointment recently at Raigmore Hospital for an ultrasound scan on my foot. The hospital signage was good, and we found our way to the Diagnostic Clinic with no problem. We particularly liked the coloured stripes on the floor to encourage us to go to the right place - an excellent idea!

I was called in on time, and was immediately welcomed and reassured about what was going to happen. Being a bit hard of hearing I didn't catch the lady's names, but they were both friendly and helpful.

The scan itself was interesting, and I was able to see the result on the screen. I was told what the problem with my foot was (a superficial Thrombo-phlebitis) and it was explained clearly to me what might happen in treatment from my doctor, and to chase them up if I haven't heard anything by the middle of next week.

My questions were answered completely, and the whole procedure was totally efficient, and reassuring, and I am very grateful to have had it. Thank you very much.
