Hi BJaminUK

Thank you for providing feedback on your experience. I work as a Team Manager within Doncaster Talking Therapies. I am sorry to hear that you have stopped your sessions and don't believe CBT is the right fit.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is an evidence based talking therapy that is recommended for a number of common mental health problems. Although many people do benefit from this therapy, different therapies work for different people and presentations. It certainly is not for everyone. We would like to discuss your concerns so we can advise accordingly. You might be suitable for a different approach with us such as Counselling for Depression, Interpersonal Therapy, Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy or couples therapy for depression. Alternative, we should be able to signpost you to somewhere which might help meet your needs.

Please do get in touch via telephone on 03000 211556 or email rdash.nhsdoncaster-tt@nhs.net, we can book a review appointment to go through options.

Kind Regards,

Tim Godley
