"Quality care and support provided"

About: Children & Young People Physical Health / Children's Neuro Development Service Doncaster

(as a parent/guardian),

My son has been assessed for ADHD, and while the process from our first contact with CAMHS to receiving a diagnosis took 23 months, we have been very grateful for the quality of care and support provided throughout.

Our allocated psychologist, Megan, has been exceptional. She has been consistently supportive of our family and maintained excellent communication at every stage. Megan also went above and beyond by liaising with the school when their support and communication began to decline, ensuring that our son’s needs remained a priority.

Good morning izarq33

My name is Jola and im the Team Manager for the Doncaster Children's Neurodevelopment team. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us with this feedback on your experience of our service.

Its really important to all of us that our patients and their families are communicated with through every step of the process, and that we can help to advocate for their needs with schools to ensure our patients get the support they need. So im very happy that Megan provided you with such a high standard of care here.

I also want to thank you for providing us with feedback of the waiting times you experienced. We know this is a big issue of concern for all who access our service, and I want to assure you reducing waiting times is at the very top of our priorities. We are looking at a number of different solutions to achieve this, including increasing the size of the team, utilising technology, and developing new partnerships. I am confident that these initiatives and the continued dedication of our team will lead to a substantial reduction in waiting times, whilst still ensuring patients get the same excellent care that Megan provided you and your son.

Thank you once again for your feedback, I will be sure to share it with Megan and the team to highlight where we do well, and areas we still need to work on.

Kind regards

Jola Obisesan
