(as the patient),

I was a bit late for my appointment as I had queued for over an hour to get into the RVH car park. However when I saw the mastoid nurse, Gemma, it was all worth the wait. Gemma is so friendly, professional, caring and kind and clearly very skilled at her job. I was seen quickly and the procedure was over before I knew it. Gemma, as her name suggests is a gem. The Belfast Trust and the RVH should be very proud of nurses like Gemma.

My name is Mandy Dougan and I am the Service Manager for ENT. I would like to thank you for taking the time to provide us with some very welcome and valuable feedback on your experience today. I am very sorry that you experienced a lengthy wait trying to get into the car park, this is something the Belfast Trust is looking at as part of a larger piece of work. I am delighted to learn that once you reached the ENT outpatients department you were well taken care. Thank you for your very kind words about Gemma. We are very proud of her and I agree she exemplifies professionalism and diligence in her approach to care delivery and is great role model to others. She is compassionate and empathetic and always strives to put the needs of her patients first.
