I was admitted to A&E in some emotional distress. Given my mental state, I was uncomfortable wearing a wristband with my assigned sex; I'm non-binary. A member of staff compromised by scribbling over (only) the sex field. I very much appreciated that flexibility during a time that was exceptionally difficult (for unrelated reasons).
