"They all went above and beyond to care for me"

About: Ninewells Hospital / General Surgery Ninewells Hospital / Planned Surgical Ward (Ward 36)

(as the patient),

I just wanted to show my gratitude to the teams who looked after me whilst I was having surgery to remove my Gallbladder in Ninewells. 

To Fern (nurse) who looked after me in SAU, Andrew the Anaesthetist, Alister, Antonio & Zoe - my surgeon & theatre team, plus the nurse & student nurse in recovery & the team in Ward 36 (nurse & 2 HCSW), they all went above and beyond to care for me and make my experience as pleasant and comfortable as they could. 

Thank you all, I really appreciate it & with your support I managed to get home the same day!

It means a great deal to hear that Fern in SAU, as well as the theatre staff, recovery team and the staff in ward 36, all helped make your experience as comfortable and positive as possible. Your appreciation is a great reminder of the impact compassionate care can have and I’ll be sure to pass your message on to the wider team

I'm pleased to hear that you were able to return home the same day and I wish you a smooth and speedy recovery.
