"I felt acknowledged, respected and cared for"

I was scheduled for a lumpectomy. 

The whole time I was in the day surgery ward I felt acknowledged, respected and cared for. 

My surgery was successful and my post-op recovery was constantly monitored. 

Every member of staff was professional, courteous and engaging. I felt at ease the whole time and I’m convinced that my lack of anxiety has aided my recovery. 

I was discharged about two hours after my surgery having had a sandwich, coffee and a wee yoghurt. I was ready to go home to my own bed.

I feel great and have absolute confidence in all the hard working staff at University Hospital Wishaw. Thank you all.
