About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I felt so well cared for when I attended the RVH A&E. The nurses took a great interest in my care and really made me feel reassured. A big thank you to Tegan, Janine and Kathryn. Support staff (unfortunately I didn’t get their name) were even kind enough to bring around tea, toast and biscuits which was so appreciated while we waited. My clinical practitioner was also amazing and made me feel so comfortable, listened to and explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand yet not patronising. All of the staff that dealt with me were a real credit to the trust. I left feeling very lucky to have this service near me should I ever need it again 💙

It’s wonderful to hear that Tegan, Janine, Kathryn, the support staff and your clinical practitioner provided compassionate, patient-centred care, taking the time to explain everything clearly and ensure your comfort and reassurance throughout your stay. Even small gestures, like offering tea, toast and biscuits, can make a real difference, and I’m pleased that you noticed and appreciated these.
