"Everyone went above and beyond"

About: Great Oaks Inpatient Unit / Mulberry Ward

(as a volunteer/advocate),

The patient was treated with respect and kindness. Her needs were taken into consideration and accommodated. I think everyone went above and beyond and couldn't have been more helpful and couldn't have done more. The patient was sectioned, but all the staff made it a positive experience. Being admitted onto Mulberry Ward, undoubtedly saved her life.

Nothing could have been better. Myself and the patient would like to thank the whole team who have helped her when she has been struggling, supported her and always been there when she has needed them.

Thanks to Emily, Abby, Peace, Dan, Dr Roshni, Gemma and all of the others, we're sorry we can't remember everyone's names but remember your faces and the positive impact you've had.

Thanks for all you do.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your observations. Its important so that we can continue to improve the care we deliver. Been "sectioned" is a very difficult experience and we recognise that. People are at their most vulnerable and its important we reduce some of the stress and support the person at this time. We will ensure your feedback is presented back to the team and we wish you well for the future.

Regards

Martin (Matron)
