"Friendly and professional staff"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Accidents & Emergency Antrim Area Hospital / Radiology

(as the patient),

I recently attended AAH ED with chest pain.  I just want to compliment all the staff involved in my care, especially Dr Harbinson.  The nursing staff and radiographers were friendly and professional, putting me at ease. Dr Harbinson was excellent, he kept me well informed of what was happening at each step of the way, and I felt like he was listening to what I was saying.  These staff are a credit to both ED and radiology departments.

My only issue was the specimen toilet beside the observation ward was very dirty, with no working hand soap dispenser and paint peeling off the wall.  I understand that it is a very high traffic area however given the amount of flu currently circulating isn't ideal to have no hand soap.  There was some hibiscrub instead however this doesn't agree with my skin so not ideal for all patients.

All in all a very positive visit :)
