"My care has been exemplary"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Accident and emergency Urgent Community Response / Virtual Ward Service

(as a service user),

I started struggling with my breathing early Jan (2026) Symptoms got progressively worse and I reluctantly called 999 very early 4 days later. From the moment the ambulance crew arrived, during my hospital stay and since I was discharged (3 days in hospital) and VW took over, my care from everyone NHS has been exemplary. I can not stress that enough

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience, and for your incredibly kind words. We’re really pleased to hear that, from the moment the ambulance crew arrived, through your hospital stay, and into your time with the Virtual Ward, you felt well cared for and supported.

Your feedback is a real boost for everyone involved in your care — from the ambulance service and hospital staff to our Virtual Ward clinicians who supported your recovery at home. We will make sure your comments are shared with all the teams who played a part.

Most importantly, we’re pleased to hear that you are now safely home and recovering. If you ever need us again, please know we are here to help.

Wishing you continued improvement and good health.

Warm regards,
The Virtual Ward Team
