"Truly lovely and very caring throughout our visit"

(as a parent/guardian),

We arrived at A&E and waited less than an hour before my daughter was taken to triage. The lady who saw her was absolutely lovely and showed real sympathy and care towards my daughter, which helped put her at ease.

We didn’t have to wait long before being seen by Jacqui in the fracture clinic. She directed us to the X-ray department, where we were greeted by a member of staff who was extremely helpful and friendly.

After returning to the ward, Jacqui reviewed my daughter’s X-rays. As she wasn’t happy with the initial images, an additional X-ray was arranged. Thankfully there were no breaks, but my daughter had badly torn the ligaments in her foot and was unable to walk without support.

My daughter was provided with a boot and crutches, and Jacqui took the time to clearly explain how to use the boot, how long it should be worn, and advised us to get back in touch if there was no improvement after two weeks.

All the staff who dealt with my daughter were truly lovely and very caring throughout our visit. We received a fabulous service and were in and out in under two hours. I think we arrived at a quieter time, but as we were leaving it was clear how quickly it was becoming busier.

Thank you to everyone involved for such excellent care.
