"Physio input following discharge from hospital"

About: Community Therapy Services / Romsey

(as a service user),

Physio arrived at the appointed time but I was feeling very unwell, my BP had suddenly dropped, measuring 85/53 and I felt very faint and nauseated. The Physio recognised immediately how unwell I was, suggested that I return to my bed (I had used my stairlift to answer the door). She brought me a glass of water, stayed with me until I felt and looked better and rechecked my BP. It was then 120/75. She took a brief history of my surgery and the post-op complications I had resulting in an hospital stay of almost 7 weeks, discharged mid December 2025, and talked through physio exercises that I had been given. She suggested that it would not be beneficial to do exercises on that day and made another appointment for the following week. Before she left she got me another glass of water, told me to stay in bed until I felt much better, and if it reoccurred to contact my GP. This was a busy person going out of her way to make sure that I was ok, not rushing me or making me feel that I was a nuisance. I felt cared for.
