My sister took unwell and called an ambulance. We decided as a family to leave the ambulance to attend other emergencies and we took her to hospital. On arrival at ED we walked in and my sister almost passed out. A very caring specialist nurse assisted us by providing a chair and getting help.
We were triaged within 30 mins in a very busy department. Unable to obtain a blood pressure she was taken straight through.
Sister Janet in triage was excellent and so calm and caring.
My sister was seen by a very attentive doctor called Chloe. She explained every step and kept us up to date.
The department was under immense pressure but only visible from the crowds in the waiting room. Behind the scenes we witnessed a very calm, professional and caring team attending to multiple patients each with complex needs.
My sister required admission but until then she was cared for extremely well in ED.
I want to highlight the excellent work and thank a very attentive team. Reassuring to know that when we need the ED it works well. I honestly dont know how they do that day after day but we as a family are very grateful.
"Cared for extremely well in ED"
