Our lovely Mum was taken into St.John's Hospice in Balby earlier this month. She was there for a total of 9 days before she sadly passed away.
The care, dedication and love shown to our Mum by the doctors and nursing staff was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and they spent many a night sitting and talking to her when she felt restless. They were reassuring, kind and treated Mum like she was part of their family while ensuring her pain levels were managed.
As a family we felt supported and reassured that Mum was in incredibly safe hands. A special mention to Elly our Mum's main carer who was kind, efficient and just all round wonderful.
Thank you to all the staff for making sure Mum had a peaceful ending and we had the support we needed too. We will be eternally grateful.
