"Looked after by the most incredibly kind hearted and caring team"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Neurosciences (DCN)

(as the patient),

I suffer from severe claustrophobia and was utterly distraught upon being advised that I would need an MRI brain and spine to investigate an ongoing issue. I attended the Programmed Investigated Unit at the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the RIE, where I was looked after by the most incredibly kind hearted and caring team. From the nurses on the unit, to the theatre and recovery nurses, radiographer, Shirley and her student, Emma, and anaesthetist Dr Ballantyne, I was treated with the utmost care and kindness. I am very grateful for their support, at a very stressful time, which enabled me to have the MRI with sedation.

Dear Claustrophobia82

Thank you for taking the time to send this lovely feedback. I know how difficult this time can be and it's nice to hear that the whole experience was positive at a very difficult time.

The team will be very grateful that they were able to help and I will share this with them.

Kind regards

Joseph
