(as a service user),

I found myself having to attend Accident & Emergency at Hairmyres Hospital, Lanarkshire in December 2025.

The care I received was outstanding and everyone I encountered including the Health Care Assistant, Nurses, Radiographer, Doctors and Consultant treated me with so much care and respect.

Despite a very busy time of year, and a very busy department, I was given the most thorough and excellent care, for which I am entirely grateful.

I was followed up by the Medical Assessment Unit the following morning, where again I was given the most exceptional care by all the staff I met.

I cannot thank or praise the staff enough.

At what must have been a worrying time for you, it is reassuring to hear that our Health Care Assistants, Nurses, Radiographer, Doctors and Consultant were able to provide you with such compassionate, thorough and respectful care. Your kind words mean a great deal to the whole team, especially during an exceptionally busy period.

We are delighted that you felt well supported and received excellent treatment throughout your visit and follow-up. I will ensure your feedback is shared with all the staff involved in your care — it will be greatly appreciated.
