"It was a wonderful experience"

About: Cloughreagh House

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I came to Cloughreagh House after a fall resulting in #femur. I have been very happy here, the staff have been attentive, helpful and very kind.  The food is lovely , plentiful and good choice of menu. There are lots of tea breaks which suits me as I love a cup of tea and they help to put the day in. If you couldn't sleep at night it was no trouble to the staff to bring a cup of tea and toast if I wanted it.

I have made great friends here and even met an old friend whom I had lost touch with, we were delighted to meet up again and are going to keep the friendship going.

My bedroom is lovely and a television all to myself which is absolutely brilliant. I also enjoyed the companionship in the Open Lounge but when I was tired it was great to get back to my own bedroom and close the door, it was my personal space.

The physio and OT were wonderful , I am really coming on well.

Overall it was a wonderful experience.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience of Cloughreagh House. You have been very complimentary about our service and I will ensure our staff are aware of the nice things you have said.

I am glad to hear that a cup of tea was readily available to you whether daytime or during the night, it is the simple things that can make a big difference to the experience of a situation.

Equally Cloughreagh House encourages our residents to be sociable and it was lovely that you were able to renew an old friendship.

I hope you continue to improve now that you have gone home and I want to thank you again for your kind words.

Regards

Stephanie Campbell

Senior Residential Care Worker.
