"I have always felt cared for and supported"

After suffering with pain for four days, I contacted my GP and the receptionist quickly recognised that, as I am a Type 1 diabetic, it would be best for me to be seen straight away. I was asked to come in immediately and, following the assessment, I was sent to VHK.

Dr Lim was, as always, approachable and really listened. As someone who doesn’t like to bother GPs unnecessarily, she made me feel comfortable and reassured me that contacting them had been the right decision. Her quick action and clinical judgement ensured I received the care I needed in a timely manner. This is not the first time Dr Lim has referred me to secondary care following her assessment, and on previous occasions this has also led to very positive outcomes.

At a time when people can often be very negative about healthcare services, I want to share my positive experience with Meadows Practice. From the reception staff to the GPs, I have always felt cared for and supported. They have an incredibly difficult job and work under immense pressure, yet they consistently go the extra mile.

Thank you to everyone involved, and I’m very grateful to say my appendix is now gone!
