"Care and kindness"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to team on ward 56 Gynaecology and the ambulance crew who took such good care of me a few weeks ago.

To the paramedics- a special thank you to Rachel and her colleague, we were so relieved when you arrived. Your kindness and care reassured us it was all going to be ok- I can’t thank you enough for that.

After being admitted to ward 56 gynaecology  I underwent emergency surgery and the team were incredible. They really took the time to listen to my concerns, answer questions and support me and my husband through a horrible time.

A special thank you to Vicky, Natalie and Caitlin thank you so much for your care and kindness.

Dear novemberyr87,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We are incredibly grateful to you for your kind words and for recognising the care you received during what sounds like a very frightening and distressing time.

I am really pleased to hear how supported and reassured you felt by the Scottish Ambulance Service. I will ensure that your special thanks are shared with Rachel and her colleague, as I know how meaningful it is for staff to hear that their kindness and reassurance made such a difference at a moment of real anxiety.

I am also delighted to read your comments about the team on Ward 56 Gynaecology. It is heartening to know that you felt listened to, well informed, and supported throughout your emergency admission and surgery, and that both you and your husband were cared for with compassion during such a difficult experience. Your special thanks to Vicky, Natalie and Caitlin will be passed on directly to them and the wider ward team, who will be very touched by your feedback.

Thank you again for sharing your experience. Your comments mean a great deal to our staff and help us to recognise and celebrate the care they provide every day. We wish you all the very best for your continued recovery.

Kind regards,

Nikki

Hi novemberyr87,

I know my colleague Nikki from NHS GG&C has already responded to your wider comments about your care, but I just wanted to thank you for the very kind words about our staff at the Scottish Ambulance Service who looked after you.

It's great to hear that Rachel and her colleague took such good care of you and were able to reassure you during a really anxious time.

Take care,

Mark
