"Poor assistance on admission for ECG"

Today I visited my gp complaining of pains in my chest. My stand in  gp said he was referring me for a chest xray and an ECG. I was told either the Victoria hospital or hairmyres would be suitable. Arriving at clinic d  in the Victoria there was no reception or staff to be seen.

Eventually someone appeared who told me they had been brought down from another ward and couldn't help. They went on to say would try and get someone to come see me.

On meeting me and taking my referral form I was told they dont do walk ins.

They told I was at the wrong hospital.

The 3rd excuse was there is no dr.

And after phoning my gp they said its my word against his why I arrived there. All this whilst being rather terrified and emotional was terribly frightening and unpleasant.

I felt like I was a hindrance to these people who couldn't seem to be bothered to even try and help. Over 3 hrs later the pain is still here. After being sent on my way  from clinic d I was told youve missed the time for hairmyres.

If its still sore we will need to call you an ambulance. Yes I replied its still sore. To which they replied your gp says you've had it for months.

I have never known such incompetence in a gp or hospital as much as I do the GP practice (of which ive been a patient for 20+year.
