"Great stay in hospital"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Orthopaedics Craigavon Area Hospital / Theatres

(as a service user),

In hospital for surgery on right shoulder. Rotator cuff repair. Admitted at 0730 on Monday. Shown to bed and checks completed. Everything explained asto what was going to happen. Visited my surgeon, anaesthetist, doctors and nurses. Nurse came regularly to check blood pressure/ sugar. When word came to go to theatre was changed into surgical gown, lay on bed and wheeled to theatre.

In theatre nurses explained exactly what they were doing to me and why. Woke up in recovery room and was wheeled back to ward. Allowed to get dressed or just stay in bed. All checks then carried out throughout the night ie blood pressure. Given breakfast and lunch.

Tall times every member of staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, everyone was smiling and positive, everyone one went out of their way to make you feel safe and cared for. Food was excellent too.

Hi Cetusdq88

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback.

I will pass your positive feedback onto all the ward staff. Everybody is working very hard.

I am pleased that you have had a positive experience on the ward. We have a lovely purpose built ward to work on. I take this opportunity to wish you a very good recovery.

Many Thanks Stephanie
