"Communication feels impossible"

About: Glasgow Dental Hospital and School / Emergency Dental Treatment Centre Level 1

(as a service user),

The hospital called me multiple times before my appointment while I was working. When I called the staff member I spoke to was rude and unhelpful. They continuously hung up, they would pick up the phone and leave it sitting down on the table or would put me through to the wrong department. I called 12 times and then gave up. 3 of those times the same person put me through to the wrong department. This is not the first time it has happened. I have no idea why I was called and wether to still attend my appointment. Communication feels impossible.

Dear ariesnt67

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on your recent experience with Glasgow Dental Hospital, I am sorry that you have been unable to get through to the right person to confirm your appointment and that you experienced rudeness when you did speak to someone.

In order that we are able to investigate please could you provide further details by emailing me on kirsten.burns3@nhs.scot and I will try to identify who called you, who you spoke to and if you are to attend your planned appointment.

Please accept my apologies for your experience,

Kind regards,

Kirsten
