I have just attended Ward 11B with my Sister following on from a very bad care experience in ED.
She was seen initially by Nurse Practitioner Nikki. I want to sincerely thank Nikki for her care, compassion and professionalism. She listened to us, done a thorough examination, fully explained everything along the way. She checked previous notes and medications and was extremely sympathetic to our concerns. She then handed over to a Registrar for further assessment.
As a charge Nurse in critical care I have high expectations of the care I expect patients to receive within the NHS. Unfortunately our ED experience at the QEUH failed to deliver on these expectations however Nikki restored my faith in the fantastic staff we have in the NHS.
"Care, compassion and professionalism"
