"Whiteabbey Hospital Endoscopy"

About: Whiteabbey Hospital / Endoscopy Services

(as the patient),

I had an endoscopy at Whiteabbey Hospital and I was highly anxious. I told the lovely nurse who booked me in and she suggested sedation and the throat spray.

I was met eventually by the clinician carrying out the procedure who was kind, considerate and reassuring and also told me a short story about driving and deep breathing which made me laugh.

I went into the room and was introduced to two other people. I have very small recollection of the procedure, I was given information there and then and looked after in recovery. I would like to thank the team very much as I have quite a lot of medical trauma and the experience today was better than I could have imagined.

The relief I felt walking out afterwards. I am so very thankful and grateful for your care, compassion and consideration towards my anxiousness. Thank you for making this an experience that was straightforward and as comfortable as possible.
