"The care I received couldn't have been better"

About: Enhanced Care / Community Stroke Team Lurgan Hospital / Ward 1 (Stroke care)

(as a service user),

I was in ward 1 Lurgan hospital after my stroke. The care I received couldn’t have been better. The Healthcare assistant Danielle was a great help to me, she done my hair everyday, it made me feel better while in hospital. Ward manager Julie, is a very hard working person and very caring. In general every member of staff was great.

I was discharge home in April and the Community Stroke Team came to my house promptly. The Occupational Therapist Margaret gave me good advice which helped me. Shannon the physiotherapist helped me with my mobility. Mary the Rehab Support Worker was very attentive to my needs and she helped me build up confidence in my mobility and advised me about many things. Mary is a very caring person, I couldn’t have done without her. All the care and attention has made me feel a lot more confident in my daily life.
